The Spotlight on Nova Hotel Brooklyn

Urban Cool Meets Concert Convenience in Brooklyn

Nova Hotel Brooklyn is a modern 3-star spot tucked into the vibrant streets of East Williamsburg. With sleek design and a relaxed urban vibe, this hotel is just a short ride from top Brooklyn and Manhattan music venues. It's a great choice for travelers looking to stay close to the action while enjoying a quieter place to crash after the lights go down.

The hotel offers free WiFi, a 24-hour front desk, and a rooftop terrace to unwind on between shows. Popular landmarks like the Brooklyn Bridge, Barclays Center, and NYU are all within 4–5 miles, while JFK Airport is just over 8 miles away—super convenient if you're flying in for a big show.

Why Concert-goers love it

Nova Hotel Brooklyn scores big with concert lovers thanks to its location—close to both Brooklyn and lower Manhattan venues, without the chaos of Midtown. Public transit options are plentiful, and the 24-hour front desk makes late-night returns hassle-free. While it's not a party hotel, the area has a creative, artsy vibe that pairs well with a music-focused trip.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends catching a weekend lineup
  • Solo travelers on a mission to see their favorite artist
  • Couples looking for a stylish base for a concert weekend
  • Fans wanting a quieter post-show recovery space
  • Budget-conscious music fans who want value without sacrificing style

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel doesn’t have an in-house restaurant, you’re in luck—there are tons of walkable dining options nearby, from late-night taco joints to cozy cafés. The 24-hour front desk staff are happy to recommend local spots. Breakfast isn’t offered on site, but several nearby cafés serve brunch-style eats perfect for a late start after a concert night.

Nightlife Options

The hotel is located in a creative Brooklyn neighborhood full of bars, small music venues, and lounges. You won’t find live music in the hotel itself, but you’re just steps (or a quick ride) from some of the city’s most authentic nightlife. Whether you're into low-key speakeasies or buzzing DJ sets, you'll find something nearby.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel's cleanliness, modern design, and helpful staff. Reviews often mention how easy it is to get to concerts and how chilled-out the area feels compared to staying in Manhattan. Many also appreciate the solid WiFi and quiet rooms, especially after a noisy night out.

Areas for Improvement

There's no on-site restaurant or bar, so you'll need to step out for meals and drinks. Some guests mention that the surrounding area is more up-and-coming than fully developed—but that also means fewer crowds and a more local vibe.

The Bottom Line

Nova Hotel Brooklyn is a stylish, well-located base for concert-goers who want to enjoy the music scene without sacrificing comfort or breaking the bank.

Decent price but unsafe and...

Liked: I liked the size of the rooms and the balcony. I also liked how close it was to the subway, stores, restaurants and bars.
Disliked: The night front desk clerk gave my room key to a couple who were trying to stay in a room for free. They were able to successfully open the door. When I went down to the front desk to see what was going on the front desk attendant lied to me and said the man in the couple said my last name so she gave him the key card. There is no way the stranger knew me and I even asked the gentleman in front of her to show that she was lying. When I asked to speak to a manager I received and email address instead. My email was ignored and there was no response. Since my safety was comprised and there was no one in management that I could speak to our respond to me I will no longer be staying here.

Best in the area for...

Liked: I liked the balcony, it was very spacious bigger than expected on the second floor. The bathroom was good in general especially the shower I feel like I could stay there for hours. I liked the TV in the bedroom, I liked putting random movies and shows. It had a good selection of stuff to watch. I liked that it had different drawers to put things in even if it was only one item in the whole thing like a pair of socks or something. The coat hangers were useful I liked that! There was free water and napkins I enjoyed. It was very fun to open and close the balcony door handle, it was sleek and smooth to the touch even though it took a while to learn how to master it properly. The staff was good. Shoutout to Sam for a smooth checkout.
Disliked: The bathroom door was heavy and hard to push and pull open or close. One of the balcony chairs outside was broken kind of that made you go all the way back if you let it like a lounge chair. I didn't enjoy that the safe didn't work? I'm guessing the previous guest left it locked and didn't unlock it when checking out? The bed was squeaky. The TV was at a odd angle. The coffee machine is in the lounge but it's not a problem really unless you're lazy like us.

Overall, it was a convenient...

Liked: There was parking available about 4 minutes walking from the hotel for $29 extra, which was very convenient. The hotel was clean for the most part — the bathroom was clean and had fresh towels. The location was also great, just 2 minutes walking from the subway.
Disliked: The only thing I didn’t like was the bedding. The sheets and pillowcases looked a little yellow and had a slight smell, so I wasn’t completely sure if they were freshly cleaned, although they didn’t have any stains.
