Monique, Hartwell, visiting MAPFRE Stadium Tue, 22 May 2018

Went to check in and the man behind the desk, even though we had booked and paid 2 months prior, kept trying to swipe my card. Kept saying it was declined. Did let us get our room but wasn't the room we had booked. Told us to speak with the manager the next morning - they fixed the problem. Except we still didn't get the right room. Breakfast was disgusting. Rooms were dirty. One guest found drug related objects in their room. Beds were extremely uncomfortable.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Everything.

For the price you cannot go wrong. Our room was very clean and neat; the water and snacks in room were a nice, inviting touch. Location right off exit ramp is a big plus and all the restaurants and fast food places are extremely close. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Liked: Beds were comfortable; great breakfast; friendly desk clerks.

Passable

Liked: The front desk staff are nice. The have soda at the desk, because they never pay to have there vending machines fixed or stocked its been over 3 months.
Disliked: The rooms walls are always dirty , evertime i go here i find things left from other people, which leaves me to believe it wasnt cleaned all the way. To control germs you have to clean the whole room. Thank you

Very poor

Liked: Bed was decent and jacuzzi tub was pretty good.
Disliked: Fire alarms going off early in the morning and late at night. Had an employee walk right into my room with another man and looked at me when he walked in and said "oh shit".

Alarms. All night.

Liked: There are plenty of fast food places and gas stations, most in walking distance. The bed was nice and comfortable and everything was perfectly clean.
Disliked: Where to begin... first things first, I?ll address that there was a misunderstanding when it comes to checking in. I?d changed the card on the app to my husband?s. No big deal, I thought. It caused a bit of confusion on check in but I?ll take ownership of that. Once we are in our room, my husband sees that there is an additional $68.95 charge on his card. I remember the front desk attendant asking if we authorized a $50 charge, but we assumed it was for the room. Again, our fault for not asking for clarification. Booking and the hotel worked it out and we were alright. And then it began. We had just settled down to rest for the night when we heard the fire alarm go off. We wondered what to do but then it stopped so we thought nothing of it. We lay back down and it goes off again. My husband goes out of the room to see if there?s people leaving or to smell smoke and nothing. We lay down again and try to ignore it when we hear it. Except it keeps going. Fast forward to this morning. The alarm is still going off. No big deal, it happens with all alarms but it?s still hard to sleep as well as get up and get ready for the day when all you can hear is the constant goings of a fire alarm. Needless to say, we got up earlier than planned and checked out. All in all, the hotel is nice for the price and everything worked out in the end with the deposit misunderstanding, and the area isn?t too bad. A good value for one night stays.

Awful

Disliked: Cards stopped working frequently, staff was rude, facilities were terrible, the sink in my room literally fell and broke because of poor construction, there was a tipped over light post in the parking lot that looked like it had been there for months, overall one of the worst hotels I?ve ever stayed at.

Very poor

Disliked: Pool was down which was 1 reason I chose the hotel but wasn't informed until I got there. The breakfast wasn't a breakfast which was the 2nd reason I chose there. The juice machine was down, only egg folds and waffles was available oh and yogart which who wants a plan egg fold, I hate waffles amd I cant have yogart. The toilet wouldnt flush and I got woke up by the cleaning lady early dumb early, when check out is noon....wtf! Never would i go back or recommend it. When I asked about the pool he said he would open it if I was adamant about it but it was cold and had been down for a while....why not say that on the sites where people book with the reasonable expectation of a dip in the pool..that they say they have?

Disappointing

Disliked: My husband and I waited for 10+ minutes before anyone came out to check us in. There was no mention of a $50 deposit even though I had already paid online he asked for an additional $50 I would then get back if the room was not damaged.
