Liked: Broken shower rail in the bathroom and what looked like a water leak below the bathroom sink , looked like the wood was rotting
Disliked: Breakfast was quite expensive compared to venues

Great breakfast, comfortable room

Liked: Comfortable spacious room and bathroom. Very tasty breakfast with fresh fruit and yoghurts, cereals and cooked breakfast. Friendly, welcoming staff. Easy parking
Disliked: The corridor light outside our room was very bright and on all night ( we were in ground-floor room). Light came in under and to sides of door. I found it difficult to sleep for this reason. ( We had previously stayed in an upstairs room and don't remember this being a problem.). It was a shame as otherwise this was a lovely place to stay.

Liked: Very nice and comfortable room.
Disliked: The noise of people coming and going at all hours

This was a good place...

Liked: Set in lovely grounds. Friendly and attentive staff at all times. A quiet room away from the main hotel was ideal.
Disliked: Room on the small side. No draft beer which was a shame. No food available during the day. Evening meal was okay but not if you’re not a big fan of Mexican.

It served a purpose

Liked: A charming old build and room could not be faulted
Disliked: The restaurant was poor. I was very disappointed and found it hard to understand why Mexican and poor very ordinary Mexican at that.

Lovely hotel , friendly and...

Liked: We found the hotel and the hospitality extremely good
Disliked: The selection and choice of food. The owner has decided that his hotel should specialise in Mexican food with very limited option for anything else. We both enjoy spices and hot food having traveled widely. However, probably like most guests staying over night we were in transit by car with s long way to travel the following day. We therefore, decided not to have a hot spicy meal the night before. The meal provided while satisfactory did not warrant the price charged. We did not stop for breakfast.
