Liked: The food was locally sourced and well presented. The continental breakfast had plenty of choices, the cooked breakfast was plenty big enough and the eggs benedict would have been perfect if one of the poached eggs had been cooked properly. The evening menu is minimal, which I like and the dishes we chose were all beautiful, must mention the rump steak which was superbly cooked and was more like a fillet steak. The best rump steak I have ever had.The room was spacious enough & had a fan in the wardrobe for hot nights, the en suite was very clean with a lovely walk in shower

Liked: Spotlessly clean. Excellent selection at continental breakfast. Food and staff were excellent. Will be our go-to hotel when staying in Devon. It was fabulous and the whole stay from attending a concert to going to Mass along with all the other lovely walks in the grounds. Cannot fault a thing about the whole stay. Restaurant food in hotel was good.

Quiet and restful stay

Liked: The hotel has a quiet and restful location close to Buckfast Abbey. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful.
