Liked: Friendly helpful staff, great location, peaceful quiet area just a minutes stroll to seafront and high street.

Comfortable stay

Liked: Hotel was very clean. All meals were very good in their preparation, presentation and quality of food. Menu was always varied. The waiting staff were excellent and were a credit to the hotel. Bedroom was a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable.
Disliked: Bedroom was extremely hot due to being next to the boiler room which radiated heat. Housekeeping was occasionally incomplete, though this was overcome without fuss by reception. Buffet provisions sometimes ran out, and needed to be bought to staff's attention. Lift was occasionally taken over by housekeeping staff and therefore not always available when required.

Wonderful staff but shabby

Liked: Staff were absolutely wonderful, helpful and friendly. Parking onsite was useful, gardens were pretty. Close to the seafront and walking distance to town.
Disliked: But honestly the room and bathroom was shabby, not as clean as I would have liked. The entire place could do with a lick of paint.

Disliked: The spa is a bit dated and hot tub was inop

Pleasant

Liked: Perfect location. The hotel was very close to SW coast path which was perfect for us.
Disliked: The room was too hot. Unfortunatley the fried breakfast was disappointing especially the fried bread and overcooked sausages.
