Disliked: Was told - table would be set up for breakfast & this wasn’t done.Swimming pool closed when we wanted to use it, but not told about this when checked in.Charge for dog was expensive - what this goes on I don’t know??? & they don’t get any thing for breakfast unless you ask. House keeping not as good as previous visits, extremely late for room being clean & feel this only happened because we asked , had to constantly ask for decaf coffee, coffee, biscuits/ none in room. It appears there are almost all new members of staff & they don’t know what they are doing!

Disliked: The hotel is old and has seen better days. The carpets are old and worn and severely stained. This hotel has a lot of potential, but it needs some love and attention.

Liked: We loved the premises and our room, which was spacious and comfortable, and the great view was much appreciated. The swimming pool, steam room, and jacuzzi were brilliant, and we loved how they were included in the price. The location is great, only a few minutes walk to the beach and centre of Minehead. The gardens looked great too. There are two options for eating at the hotel- one more relaxed with cheaper prices and another in a classy restaurant, all on the premises. We didn't make use of these as we were on a budget. Would come back!
Disliked: I just felt like they could do with a deep clean of carpets, nooks, and cranies where dust had collected etc. Maybe a little refresh of deep cleaning and touch-ups would be good by people with an eye for detail. Shower does go off at 11pm and can be cold from time to time because of old boiler system.
