UNPLEASANT!

Liked: Breakfast was not included in the tariff unlike the next hotel we visited!
Disliked: There was a total lack of service and the staff we met were unfriendly and not at all welcoming. We arrived about 4.00 pm and by the time we had parked the car and returned to reception the foyer was devoid of staff, and we were left to carry our suitcases up the stairs to a dismal room. Lighting throughout the hotel (the areas we had access to) was poor, with light bulbs that did not work and the lamp on the stair landing did not work making negotiating the stairs with suitcases difficult. We found the hotel to be very shabby and certainly not 'value for money'. I suggest the staff at least try "smiling" when greeting guests, and make them feel welcome rather than an inconvenience. When we left the following morning there were no staff to be seen or found anywhere! The final straw was reading the unfriendly/rude sign informing guests that they would be charged $150.00 if the key was not returned!

Disliked: First room door would not lock, none of the lamps worked, second room door handle fell off, third room ok but cramped. Advertised free tea coffee but no coffee available.Old delapidated and owner not maintaining facilities. Bar maid ran the bar, bookings and customer complaints.For $90@ night very dissapointing.
