Disliked: No fan in bathroom.

We checked in at 4AM, and were woken up at 7AM by water dripping from the light fixture in the bathroom. They promptly moved us to the same room further up and offered us free breakfast. Response time to this issue (which probably was another guest's fault) was timely and correct, but I had zero interest in going to breakfast, or doing anything but going back to sleep. That issue aside, the view was great and the room was as expected.

Liked: The location is awesome. Our room overlooked the waterfront and the hotel is within close walking distance of several restaurants and entertainment.

Liked: Was supposed that they ere undergoing renovation, but our room on the 23rd floor was much more tan we expected! Loved all of the new features, especially all of the new lighting systems! will consider using some of those features in our home!

The Marriott more than met...
Liked: I was attending a conference hosted by a nearby hotel, but registered too late to get a room at the Hilton. I had stayed at the Marriott several years ago, when this same organization held the annual conference at the Marriott so I was already familiar with the proximity and the hotel. The location was perfect, the room was quiet and more than met my expectations.
Disliked: While going back and forth from the Marriott to the Hilton (an easy 2 minute walk), I was never able to get onto the web from my 20th floor room (2026) on the laptop. I didn't take the time to bring my laptop down to the front desk to see what step I was missing, but my phone picked up the web just fine from the hotel room. Nothing to do with the hotel, but I replaced my phone at the Verizon store on Monday afternoon (the six year old phone had been "locking up") and I was again able to access the web from the room. Oddly enough, I get my email through the college account, and I needed the IT department at the college to do whatever IT people do so I again get my email from the phone. So nearly all of this has little/nothing to do with the Marriott and Marriott service, and at the end of the day, being without the use of the web on the laptop is quite a blessing really. It was nice being almost unplugged.

Liked: I liked the location and friendly staff. The breakfast food and dinner was good from the hotel.
Disliked: The light in the bathroom would turn off without you touching the switch. Second, the shower door would not stay closed. Third, inside the shower I didn?t have a soap holder inside. Lastly, I didn?t have a holder for the toilet tissue. The staff did tell me the room was recently renovated but this room was clearly not inspected before letting guests book the room.

Disliked: The only thing my boyfriend and I didnt like was that we did not get our room cleaned while we were there.

Disliked: Shower wouldn't drain. Bath tiles looked as if they had never been cleaned. Overall felt gross leaving the room.

Liked: I liked the bed. It was comfy. The toiletries they use are of a nice quality. Good clean room.
Disliked: From the pics online it makes it look like there is a chaise lounge in every room. That's not the case. We only had a small chair. Also, Maids-when you prop the door open with the moveable door lock, and then go in or out the door and let it slam behind you-it sounds just like someone is throwing a chair against the wall. We were trying to nap in the afternoon and i bet it happened 20 times. I called down to the desk, and when they didnt find anyone strange, just shrugged it off. Then it started happening again. That's when we figured out what it was. Please, Marriott, buy some door stops for the maids!!
