Great staff and location; but...

Liked: desk staff was top notch, location, cleanliness of the room, furnishings, kitchen in the room
Disliked: Felt really strange staying in a suite in a building largely occupied by residents--somehow it felt like the suites that are part of Norblad are playing a role in displacing people? It appeared as though residents were middle-to-low income--so it didn't feel great to be riding the elevator with our suitcases along with the residents--it felt like we were a little unwelcome. In addition, it was only about 78 degrees out in Astoria that day, but the suite was uncomfortably warm, and only 2 of 7 windows were operable. There was a fan in the livingroom turned on for our arrival. We slept with the 1 of 3 windows open in the bedroom--very noisy between 2 and 3am when the bars closed.

A fun, cozy place to...

Liked: The location is right in the heart of the downtown area. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. They have a full size kitchen, lounge area, and offer portable record players along with vinyl you can use in the room. The staff was also very friendly and offered suggestions for things to see and do nearby. I would definitely stay again!
Disliked: There is no designated parking so finding a spot of the street was a bit difficult. Also, there is not an elevator so lugging up all my heavy luggage was a challenge.
