I wish I can be...

Liked: The front desk lady was very nice, and she kindly asked me to pay $100 fee with my credit card upon arrival. The location is great, it's 2-3 minutes walk from the Del Mar street which has free transportation, every 15-20 minutes it takes you straight to the pier and you can enjoy the beautiful ride, you can definitely tip the trolly driver. I love the Fisherman's restaurant at the pier, the food is always fresh and you get to sit on the balcony and enjoy the fresh ocean air. There are plenty of nice boutiques, a decent size public library with the free parking space in the back. Del Mar street looks amazing at night with all the trees decorated with LED lights.
Disliked: My $100 hold fee which was paid upon arrival was never refunded. On top of that, I was supremely disappointed that there was a big water leak from the ceiling above, I was not reimbursed for the stay nor was offered get a discount or a safer room. The light switches glitched because of the water leak. The hotel fees which were paid did not meet my expectations, therefore, I can't call this transaction as a fair exchange of goods and services. I'm still hoping to get my $100 back. Also, the amount of noise from the restaurant on the top floor was unbearable, this was never disclosed when I booked the reservation, and noise from the foot traffic and dragging the furniture on the floor was unacceptable. I was offered two complimentary cards (which i never used). It offered 2 free alcohol drinks from the restaurant, even though I don't drink alcohol. Can someone help me get my questions answered and get my money back?

Great place in great location

Liked: Great little hotel, the room I was in was slightly awkwardly configured but comfortable and clean.Other reviews complain about the whole hotel being below the bar (which is a nice bar). But I don't understand that, because the bar closes at 10pm anyway so it's not disruptive.Fantastic spot in St Clemente, right by the high street and walking distance down the hill to the beach. Funky, and Fun.

Disappointing

Liked: The location was good
Disliked: The upstairs was so loud (we heard people talking and stomping) and when people turned the water on it was also incredibly loud and disrupted our sleep. Additionally, the wifi didn’t work.

Disliked: I was not aware of the bar directly over my room playing loud music til late on a Sunday night. The bed was comfortable and clean though very small with toilet in the shower…this was ofd but worked fine

Lots of fun memories made,...

Liked: Such a cool and quaint property! The property communicated via text which was perfect. We had our own special code for entry into the main door and then our room. Above was the canteen which had great food. Apple TV was awesome, room service was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: Nothing, it was fantastic! Some might complain about the canteen above, but not me, I have loud, annoying children so the canteen drowned the children’s noise out. Also, how cute is it that Nomads provided the room with a white noise machine?

Disappointing

Liked: Location, style
Disliked: Extremely noisy. Restaurant above the rooms was loud until 12:30. Music, moving tables and chairs over your head, no sound proofing at all. Obviously its a problem because they put a jar of ear plugs next to the bed. For the price a guest shouldn't have to wear ear plugs to be able to sleep.

Liked: It was a first for me. It felt like it was my place. Comfortable and relaxed. I like the serf packages and restaurant and bar upstairs.
Disliked: Room was a bit tiny. That I had to leave. I love the Nomad.

Cool, eclectic vibe, but incredibly...

Liked: The location was great. The rooms are really eclectic, individual and overall sophisticated looking. The fixtures are nice and the individuality of each room was super cool. Good vibes. Great for a young people.. surfers-party people-people who go to bed late. Walking distance to everything. Restaurants every 100 feet.
Disliked: I have never experienced so much noise from with inside a hotel room in my entire life. There is a bar restaurant attached to this hotel. It is above it. We did not realize until around 8:30 at night when the restaurant/bar got hop in. It sounded like they were dragging furniture across the floor and banging things onto the floor. It was incredible! I literally could not believe what was happening. The music is also very loud. I do believe that the hotel should put this as a disclaimer letting people know that it is very loud until around 11 PM at night. The next morning upon investigation, I was told that there was nothing spectacular going on at the bar restaurant upstairs and that there weren’t even that many people which leads me to believe the noise is insane no matter what is going on up there. I was with my husband and young child and needless to say none of us were able to get any sleep until after 11 o’clock. We had a super long drive the night before so we were really bummed out. The place looks cool but if you plan on going to bed or having any sort of peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. At least not until the restaurant closes.
