Liked: ….Any tale of my week would be severely incomplete, without highlighting the Nomad Hotel staff.Ann, who smiled and waved and welcomed me back everyday from work and asked "How was your day?" with the genuine interest of a Mom picking up and dropping off her eager kid from kindergarten.May, the well-deserved "staff-of-the-month" who helped me look for places to live in the Filipino marketplaces and introduced me to the Aurora sighting group, so I could see my first Northern Lights here.Laila, the cleaning lady, who not only did her job best, but who told me of the best places to get groceries and African ingredients.To these women, who were a temporary family for me, I give my deepest gratitude.God bless the butterfly that flapped its wings to lead me to this town, without any clothes to my name or roof to my head; that led me to overstay my initial three days at the Nomad Hotel, with May, Ann and Laila…Excerpt from:https://medium.com/@tola.titcombe/chapter-one-df91f57205d2bb
Disliked: Drying body wash. Unmoisturizing moisturizer. The hair dryer fell off. From the wall. Dully lit rooms.
