Comfortable and interesting hotel

Liked: Room comfortable, hotel had a very good atmosphere and staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a very old hotel so expect creaky floors and stairs to different levels in the hotel. Location excellent, good free car parking.
Disliked: Small point could only get warm toast not browned toast at breakfast.

Great place would come again.

Liked: Friendly, things work, comfortable and provide just what one needs - tv works simply, great bath, tea pot and plenty of coffee and tea. Thank you!

An ok stay, but room...

Liked: Location of hotel, nice breakfast, comfortable bed, and car park right outside.
Disliked: Some facilities in the room needed attention, the toilet handle (the ceramic part) fell off every time you flushed and you had to hold it in place. The bathroom sink taps dripped constantly, no matter how hard you turned them off, one of them had part of the top missing, and the other, the whole tap turned as you were turning it off, so it ended up in a strange direction.The room was very warm (we were there on the hottest day of the year), so that couldn't really be helped, and the bed had a thick duvet on, so found it very hard to sleep. Expected a better quality of room for the money we paid. The bed, which was advertised as the main feature of the room on the website, was not the same bed, did not have the date '1657' on it as the web picture showed, nor the carving.
