Noah's Ark Backpackers is a historical ex-monastery centrally located and boasting panoramic city sea and sunset views. It features stained glass windows native timber paneling and original wall paintings done by New Zealand Artists. The property offers hostel accommodations with free WiFi and is just 3-minutes' walk from Greymouth's town center TranzAlpine Railway Station and bus stop. Noah's Ark Backpackers offers a large garden area with a spa pool picnic tables BBQ and hammocks. Guests have free use of mountain bikes and fishing rods. The fully equipped shared kitchen is available 24 hours a day with free tea coffee sugar herbs and spices. Guests have access to shared bathroom facilities and a 24-hour internet kiosk in the lobby. Good transalpine stop

Liked: A quiet and pleasant space, next to the school and quite close to the station and supermarkets. The staff is very friendly and the services are good, although somewhat dated due to the historic building.
Disliked: The lock on my bedroom door and the fact that one of the toilets didn't have a door. They're doing some renovations, but there's still a lot of work to be done.

Antique and vintage building.

Liked: It was like staying at my grandparents house. Very warmly welcome.
Disliked: Because of the timber floors and quite a natural that have a sound when you walk around the main corridor. Other than that all are well maintained and clean.
