A truly delightful boutique hotel...

Liked: Luxuriously appointed with great attention to detail ie a fridge stocked with water, soft drinks, Pringles and small bottles of red & white wine. Provision of robes, slippers, vanity items, magazines and iron plus board. A truly thoughtful proposition. All staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful.
Disliked: As veteran travellers, we were disappointed to find yet again there were no plug sockets near any mirrors. This was frustrating as we both needed to wash our hair but there was no provision to stand in front of a mirror & dry off with a hairdryer. Use of tongs presented the same issue. When one of us decided to leave the room to request a portable mirror, there was no one behind reception. Even after ringing the doorbell (hotel was locked on arrival but pressing the bell at that time resulted in a member of staff granting access.) Sadly, this was not the case when we needed to raise attention about the lack of a ‘getting ready’ station. The bell was pressed FOUR times, to no avail. Ultimately, a mirror was borrowed from the hallway which was limiting as it was convex!The huge lack of privacy in the bathroom / toilet area left us questioning whether we’d return. The glass was frosted but not around the edges, giving anyone using the toilet zero privacy - something we both prize highly.

Liked: Fabulous accommodation. Kitted out and decorated with style and panache . . a real boutique hotel. Great staff too!
Disliked: Nothing really. Sink in the ensuite was style over function but I didn’t mind. Extension coming soon (they’ve bought next door) to add a bar and more rooms

Disliked: The Tap was a bit slow and too short to fill the kettle easily.
