Great location - other areas...
Liked: The location is this properties biggest asset.One thing that really impressed me was how well the room was soundproofed. They play loud music and also, many properties in many cities never bother to take this into consideration- but with the windows closed you could barely hear the music and noice outside. I also almost never heard my hotel neighbors which is also rare. So nice work on noise proofing the rooms.
Disliked: One of my top criteria for a stay is free high speed internet. It was free BUT you have to pay for the best speeds and also it keeps kicking you off. For a 4 night stay I had to keep signing in around 8 times - the laptop and the phone both. For my MacBook I sometimes had to restart the entire computer. I have been traveling for the last two months and this is the first property I had to deal with the internet in this way.The key cards kept going faulty. 2 of my 4 nights I had to get my cards recoded so I could use the elevator and get into my room. Not loosing sleep over it but not impressed with this issue. These two concerns are enough that I would not stay at This hotel or with this brand again.I also didn’t care that I immediately got signed up for the brands spam email list. You should just ask us if we want to be in the rewards program and not just sign us up for yet another mailing list to unsubscribe from.Lastly, 2 out of the 4 staff interactions were positive and friendly. The other two made me wonder if there is any customer service training that happens to educate the staff on appropriate and friendly ways to interact with the guest. Acting annoyed or rude just because you gave me a faulty card is the opposite of a response I would expect from someone trained in a guest facing hospitality position. Smiling at your guests can also go a long way.

Liked: Rooms were large and clean.
Disliked: The suite rooms were at the lower floors and facing inwards to the shopping centre, so there is no privacy. People taking the escalator within the mall could look directly into the rooms. So care must be taken to pull the curtains.

Poor client service
Disliked: Check-in on Saturday evening was a disaster. The complete lobby area and a bar were fully packed by people waiting to be checked in. It took us 45 minutes with my husband, and we were late for dinner to celebrate our 10th anniversary. There was just one manager on reception working and a big group of people that had arrived together at the same time. 35 people or so in this group, plus private travellers waiting for this group to get finished. I think the manager at the reception tried to do her best, but it is just not possible for one person to process this without stress. In addition, my wish to decorate the room in a romantic way for our anniversary was left without any reaction. Maybe it was not possible, I don't know. But without any special comment about it at any phase of communication, it looked for me like ignorance. It was very disappointing. If I would know it is not possible in advance, I could prepare some things myself.The room, bed, breakfast, cleaness etc. was ok but the facts above have spoiled our impression much.
