As noisy as it gets

Disliked: The room was directly above some restaurant or pub where they played loud techno music until well after midnight. Even with earplugs, the bass was still audible. The room was also directly above a busy road whose noise was hardly reduced by the thin windows. On a map, it looks like a cosy pedestrian street, but the amount of loud cars, buses and motorcycles that drive by is really substantial. Sometimes, the noise was so much that the furniture started vibrating.There were also many signs of wear on the furniture. There was a TV in the room that did not work. And the bathroom was so small that even for a normal sized person it was difficult to use without constantly bumping into things.

Liked: A nice 3-star hotel located right in the city center, in a historic building with a view of a church.The room was clean and comfortable, with bathrobes and slippers, a full set of toiletries in the bathroom, and coffee and tea, which was a lovely touch.I would definitely stay here again.

Liked: Location was great. Loads of bars and restaurants nearby and bus stop just outside.
Disliked: Noise from the street on a Wednesday.
