Spacious apartment with superior cooked...

Liked: A spacious apartment upgrade was very welcome. Friendly and helpful staff, brilliant location for walking with easy access to Tissington Trail and a very special cooked breakfast with lots of extras available.
Disliked: Didn't discover skylight hook until our departure.

Exceptional

Liked: Well worth the price!The beds and rooms were clean and comfy, the breakfast was great, and the people running it were lovely. They even had a bar with some good draft options.Would definitely stay again next time we go Alton Towers or stepping stones.
Disliked: Just need to stock up on ice in the bar

Great location but hotel could...

Liked: Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was perfect as there is direct access from the back of the hotel onto the Tissington Trail. Very pleasant downstairs seating area.
Disliked: We stayed for two nights and the room was not serviced, ie. mugs and glasses were not refreshed, tea coffee milk sachets etc not topped up and bins not emptied. There was no bin in the bathroom. Breakfast was passible. We had been led to believe that the bar was open in the evening but on Friday we arrived back at 8.30pm and it was closed. It was open on Saturday evening but the choice of drinks was extremely limited.

Liked: Our stay at Newton House Hotel was great. The room was okay and the staff helpful and always available. Great location if you want to visit the Peak District.
Disliked: Decoration would need to be refreshed..

Newton House Hotel & Apartments

Liked: The apartment was a lovely size and most unexpected as I was only expecting a hotel room. The apartment has a living area, kitchen area, bathroom, and bedroom. Some furniture fixtures and fittings people will think a little dated, but I found them to be very comfy, especially the reclining chair and the bed.The full English breakfast was good, the selection for the continental was very good and both tastes great. Staff were polite and friendly and I thought it was good value for money. I would definitely come back and stay here
Disliked: The only criticism I have is i was expecting to pay the balance on arrival, but I found it had been taken a couple of days before I arrived. As I've mentioned, some will find the furniture, fixtures, and fittings a little dated. Note, there is no breakfast available on Sunday morning, not sure if that was due to the time of year I stayed (End of June)Note 2, some will find the road a little noisy, personally it didn't bother me
