Newport News Marriott At City Center

We just happened to attend when a Christmas festival was going on in the town center. It was an added bonus to our trip. We had fountain view room and it was beautiful, especially with all of the Christmas lights lit. We will be back next year for sure!

Liked: Friendly staff. Clean and nice hotel. Very convenient to the little Town Center. Plenty of restaurant options.

Yes, I would tell people about your hotel. It was very convenient to shops. We had dinner atTravinia's, using your coupon. They were very nice.

Liked: It was quiet - we could get a good night's sleep.
Disliked: The gentleman on duty at the front desk was not the most helpful.

Rude staff

Disliked: Staff were not accommodating. I made the reservation for my dad, and his name was on the reservation. However, the front desk staff and manager didn't see it. I notified Marriott reservation, booking,,ect. Finally the manger assisted and stated that this would be a " one time" request. My father waited over an hour. Staff unprofessional was rave and issue possibility. The fact that the room was paid in full and they gave us so much hassle is being beyond all of my understanding.
