Newport Marriott Hotel & Spa

Room was adequate and comfortable but small and unexceptional for the price they were charging. You expect 5-star luxury for this price. But this hotel was middling in all aspects.

Liked: Nice open space with excellent gym, pool, and parking services.
Disliked: Extremely overpriced for what it is. Service in the restaurant was very slow. Food was fine but overpriced for what you got.

for the price we paid...

Liked: It was clean and proximity to all the shopping was perfect short walk to all the restaurants and local attractions in Newport. it was also very secure. You needed your key card to access any floors above 3/3 floor and to get into the elevator from the garage you needed your key room key so I like that was good security.
Disliked: The bed was awful. It was supposed to be a king size bed, and it was only a queen size besides this it was very lumpy and difficult to sleep on. Additionally, I kept getting woken up by the sound of slamming doors all night randomly so it seems they sound damning is not the best. You shouldn’t hear doors in the hallway slamming when you’re trying to sleep I could also hear the guy next-door to me snoring in the room next to me. Not quite sure if there’s anything the hotel could do about that but they could give you a better bed. They couldn’t wait to go home and sleep in my own bed Tempur-pedic.

Liked: The staff was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and clean.
Disliked: Soo expensive with all the added fees. Not worth $600 for 1 night. We went to the bar at night and ordered food. We didn’t like what we had and 1 bartender was rude when we showed our displeasure.

Liked: The room and property was very nice and clean. Staff was also very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The pool wasn't very clean. My kids decided not to swim because of that. I also wish Starbucks in the lobby would stay open later than 12 pm

Disliked: Check in was difficult. Don’t like the destination fee. Pool was dated/somewhat unpleasant. Our room had no body wash in the shower, and the toilet in our room was broken. The room with inside views felt very claustrophobic.
