Liked: The location was very good for exploring the western lakes.
Disliked: We were allocated a disability room with the disabled chair still in the shower once we arrived. Firstly, we would have liked to have been pre-warned of this at the time of booking as both myself and my husband are able-bodied. The room was situated on the ground floor behind the reception area and we had a public disabled toilet directly opposite our room which everyone used day and night so made it quite a noisy stay too. The other issue we had was at breakfast-time were the two staff who checked everyone in as they entered, who just stood behind the desk staring at every guest while they were getting their choices of breakfast. One female member of staff in particular watched as I placed my bread in the toaster using the tongs and because I replaced the tongs back under the cover with the slices of bread actually came and stood beside me and replaced them on the top without saying a word and then went back behind her desk to stare again - so rude! She was also so eager to take clear everyone’s plates before they had even finished, very invasive. Overall, the stay was okay, our meal in the brasserie was very good and staff were also very good in there. The hotel was a little tired and looks as though it could do with a bit of updating.
