Liked: We had the pleasure of a free upgrade to one of their fabulous cabins . Hotel pool and breakfast area lovely and clean .Food is very good

Fine hotel to stay in...

Liked: Great location and easy to find. Good sized room and bathroom with a walk in shower. Some staff were very friendly. Dogs made to feel welcome. Easy parking and quiet from other rooms. Breakfast quantity good, quality fair.
Disliked: Lack of sockets near bed for charging, though others around. One accessed by crawling under the bed revealed a gap in cleaning.

Liked: Nothing!!!!
Disliked: Very poor accommodation for the price, not value for money.The main hotel is in need of a makeover. Very dated.The 'lodge' building we were placed in was dreadful, falling apart, dirty, untidy grounds/wasteland, derelict building.overall very disappointed indeed.Thankfully we were attending a wedding, so the less time we had in the room the better!

Expensive but not for the...

Liked: We were attending a wedding nearby and they roomed ourselves and other wedding guests in a cottage around the corner from the main building so we did not disturb other guests not attending the wedding. Our room in the cottage was on the ground floor and was in excellent condition.
Disliked: For the Lake District the price is not excessive however the cost is still high and we were only supplied with half a toilet roll.
