The Hilton Midtown obviously doesn't need to work very hard to please it's guests. We were told at check in they have a 98% occupancy rate, largely due to convention and business travel. Too bad for those of us not on a company expense account.
Liked: Location is fabulous.
Disliked: This was our second stay in four years. There won't be a third. You expect a large hotel in the heart of midtown to be busy. And it is. What you should expect from a Hilton is service and convenience. This was not our experience. We didn't get our room cleaned on the first day because we were still in the room at 10 when housekeeping called. Amenities in our room did not include a mini bar, coffee maker or free wifi. Our room was accessible, which we did not request or require. This meant our bathroom was spacious with no counter space. Minor inconveniences that add up when you consider the room rate (high).

Disliked: Pay to store luggage. Hard time getting through on the phone to front desk! Waited 1/2 hour on hold with operator and never got through.

Disliked: I didn't like the resort fee that was included and that you could not opt out of it.

Disliked: I did not like that I had to pay $ 70 for the parking that is from the same hotel.

Disliked: Mandatory spend on $30 on low quality or overpriced food and drink. Waited in line for 30 minutes for breakfast.
