Conveniently located, authentically Korean hotel...

Liked: Centrally located hotel in Los Angeles, near the Downtown area. Faster Wifi than most similarly-equipped hotels we stayed in on our trip, and very clean rooms which a great bathroom, television and very comfortable bed.
Disliked: Staff are very professional and friendly but just something perhaps minor to note: not all of them speak the best English - this was probably our fault for not having done enough research prior to arriving, as most of their interactions with other guests seemed to almost exclusively be in Korean. This is also true of the room itself - the telephone's instructions are all in Korean, and there were labels on the toilet in Korean. This wasn't really an issue during our stay, as it went smoothly enough, but we did wonder how an unusual request/complaint might have been dealt with.We were given a room on the third floor facing onto a very noisy Los Angeles street. When we phoned down to request whether we could change to a different room, our request was declined despite the fact that we noticed other rooms available that were facing into the quieter parking lot.I think other reviewers have mentioned this, but the hotel's location, however central and convenient it may be, is not surrounded by the safest of streets; there is a slight air of danger in the surrounding streets, and although parking was included, it was in an outdoor parking lot staffed 24/7 by at least one security guard. During our trip we stayed in another hotel in the Koreatown neighbourhood of LA but did not at all feel anything remotely close to the sense of insecurity we felt around the New Seoul Hotel (probably because it is located much closer to Downtown LA, which is apparently known for this atmosphere).

Liked: The staff was so kind, I felt extremely safe in the property and the location can’t be beat!
Disliked: I was cold and used the extra blanket and almost used the third blanket because I didn’t know how to work the heater.

Disliked: It was noisy - inside the room, the toilet started to flush on its own at 4 am, 5 am, 6 am etc.. with loud noise outside the room at 5 am … so was woken up by noise and did not get a good nights sleep
