New Road Hotel

Great hotel with good location...

Liked: Nice hotel, easy to find, clean, comfy bed, lovely shower. Really liked the self service drinks machine in the hall on each floor, terrace upstairs nice to sit out, good air con, lovely breakfast. Great and friendly staff. Hotel itself nice and quiet, as it was fairly busy, but didn't really hear other guests. Definitely worth visiting and hoping to visit and stay here again.
Disliked: Not hotel itself, so nothing to do with the hotel or staff, but overwhelming cacophony of smells from the outside. I have an extremely acute sense of smell and I'm very sensitive to them, and of course the location of the hotel and the proximity of all the local shops and the market, meant that I forgot and opened the window, and was flooded with the smells, which took couple hours to clear with air con. I just wasn't prepared for it, but will know for next time. Wish the terrace maybe had a late night bar opened in the Summer months.

Liked: I highly recommend this hotel, it was supercomfy and i loved the location. A huge shoutout to do the staff of the hotel from the receptionists to the bar - i arrived early, and they allowed me to work from the lobby until i managed to take my room, and they were super supportive and make sure i get all the things, help and information i need. Thank you for being so kind and helpful, much appreciated!

Clean ,professional and best beds...

Liked: Great location by Whitechapel tube and the new Elizabeth line .
Disliked: It’s the East End ( Whitechapel ) so surrounding area not great BUT the hotel itself is fab .

Welcoming and friendly with luxury...

Liked: Staff were super smiley and friendly and the room was perfect; very clean and comfy. The bath and rain shower were lovely and exactly what I needed.
Disliked: Main issues were around the tv not being connected to the internet. You have smart TVs yet the internet is not accessible even when asked therefore no access to Netflix ect and if you wanted to plug things in to facilitate this there were no plug sockets.
