New Road Hotel

What an absolute joy !

Liked: I didn’t have too much expectations of this hotel in Whitechapel but, it’s gem. This is everything a hotel should be.Reasonably priced, great staff , great rooms .I could go on and on.
Disliked: You kidding me nothing.

Disappointed not to get our...

Liked: We like the hotel overall and enjoyed a nice dinner there one evening. It's well located for Whitechapel tube station.
Disliked: We were disappointed with the room, particularly the location of the bed, which is only accessible on one side. We did request an "accessible" bed because my husband and I suffer with knee and hip problems, so it's not ideal. We stayed here a month earlier and we were given an accessible room and it was fantastic for us, which made us re-book for this visit. We did request this for this reservation, but sadly, we didn't get it. The bathroom also was quite compact, which is ok, except that the whole floor became totally wet making it uncomfortable when you wanted to go back in! A wet room is ok if there is enough room, but not for a small compact room. We will probably not book here again because of this.

Disappointing for 4 star hotel

Liked: Reception staff v friendly
Disliked: Bed in room was really awkward - surrounded by walls on 3 sides, making it really difficult to get in and out of bed No bedside lights or drawer space. No coffee/tea making facilities in room. Bathroom was wet room so after showering whole room was soaking wet. Breakfast v limited and service slow.

Fantastic London Hotel.

Liked: The staff were fab. As soon as we arrive at the hotel they helped us sort our luggage out in the luggage storage and when we returned they helped us carry it to the room. Each floor has something different for a library to a gym. Fab roof terrace perfect for a chill or enjoy the sunshine. Room was so clean ! Bed was so comfortable, air con, lovely windows shower was not very powerful but a huge bathroom with complementary products. Very minimal storage space. Compemantry coffee and hot chocolate perfect addition!! Huge TV and plenty chargers, great getting ready space. The breakfast was very different to what we have experienced before. You choose from a menu of maybe 8 options. 6 options were no extra charge and 2 had additional charge. You could also get crossiants which were very tasty, toast and fruit for free. The hot drinks options were nor the best you could get a plain coffee for free but it was awful or you could pay extra for other coffee options. The portions sizes for the menu options were quite small apart from the full English breakfast. Brilliant transport link two tube stations within 10 minutes.
Disliked: The hotel was amazing and these are very small things. The showers power was not the best The portion sizes for the breakfast were small. I thought the extra charge for different coffee was unnecessary.

Good Location, Clean Hotel

Liked: The location is good close to the underground
Disliked: Breakfast was poor. Service was awful the staff just couldn’t be bothered and it showed. Sitting in the lobby area and hearing the staffs conversations and foul language. The shower head needed tightened as water was leaking from the top
