New Orleans Marriott

It is within walking distance from where we wanted to go. So we had parking and a room. It was clean and safe.

Liked: Good customer service.
Disliked: The room needs an update - vent in the bathroom and the mattress was hard.

I will never again stay at the Marriot just due to the fact valet parking is a forced $40.00 per day charge. We could have stayed on Bourbon Street for the amount of money we paid to stay at the Marriott on Canal Street. A two night stay was $800, we could have paid a bit more and stayed at an exclusive balcony condo on Bourbon Street.

Liked: The location was right around the corner to the House of Blues. The rooms were very small but clean.
Disliked: Valet parking was a hidden $40.00 per day cost.

Liked: The facilities were excellent but seating in the great room dining area was a bit of a challenge due to the crowds. The staff were as courteous and as helpful as we have encountered anywhere.
Disliked: The city could do a bit more on its infrastructure.

Superb

Liked: Parking included in our room cost. We were on 38 floor. Safe, secure parking with valet is important when downtown in French Quarter. The service was excellent. Also loved the elevator service. Got us on quickest elevator with no wait each time.
Disliked: I think the bar and restaurant options could be improved. I know there are hundreds of options outside the hotel close by but only a couple options within hotel itself. Would have enjoyed high quality dinner evening dining. We sat at the bar for dinner. It was ok.
