It is within walking distance from where we wanted to go. So we had parking and a room. It was clean and safe.

Liked: Good customer service.
Disliked: The room needs an update - vent in the bathroom and the mattress was hard.

I will never again stay at the Marriot just due to the fact valet parking is a forced $40.00 per day charge. We could have stayed on Bourbon Street for the amount of money we paid to stay at the Marriott on Canal Street. A two night stay was $800, we could have paid a bit more and stayed at an exclusive balcony condo on Bourbon Street.

Liked: The location was right around the corner to the House of Blues. The rooms were very small but clean.
Disliked: Valet parking was a hidden $40.00 per day cost.

Great stay, but very frustrated...

Liked: Excellent location, right near the city centre.
Disliked: I was overcharged a substantial amount for my stay at this hotel. Despite early contact with the staff, it has been over 3 months and I am still waiting for them to action the full refund. I had to pay this additional charge on my credit card, so I am out of pocket due to the hotel's error. Staff have been poor at acknowledging and responding to my emails. The lack of communication has really let me down.
