New Orleans Courtyard Hotel by the French Quarter

Liked: The courtyard was very cute! The room was direct access to the pool. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. I liked that the parking was gated. I thought being on a busy street in the French Quarter might be loud but it was very quiet. (It was 4th of July weekend and the Essence Fest was going on as well) Staff very friendly and helpful. It was a 15 minute walk to Cafe Du Monde. We would definitely stay there again.
Disliked: Access from the parking lot into the hotel is not well guided. There are no signs directing you where to go in what looks like a staff entrance.

Liked: Staff was nice.
Disliked: The Television never worked. It would turn on but there was never any reception.The rooms are very small. Which I can handle a small room but there was no place to set your things. There is only one night stand on one side of the Queen Bed. And, there is absolutely nothing on the other side. Even some shelves by the bed would be nice. The bathroom had no room to set any of your toiletries. Some more hooks in the bathroom. And, again maybe some shelves on a wall to put your toiletries. Also, there are no curtains in the rooms; only blinds. Which. obviously let in a lot of light.

It was good .

Liked: It was subpar not a breakfast really, just bagels and coffee.
Disliked: If the breakfast was better it was the only problem.

Not happy

Liked: They locked me out my room behind a charge I didnt know for 4hrs, I wasnt told about before I got there. The lights in the room didnt work. The entrance to the suites smell like mildew & was rain coming under the door. If I didnt have my son I would of left! These ppl dont care & plzzz if youre looking for an N.O. experience don't go here! It's trash & not worth it!

I don’t recommend despite a...

Liked: This hotel was cool because it’s in a historic building with a beautiful pool area. It’s a perfect location, only a 10 minute walk from bourbon street, the staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: We had so many issues with the property. When we first checked in our room was dirty, there were towels on the floor and the bed was used. They swapped our room and put us upstairs- no elevator which is difficult with a lot of luggage and there was a used condom in our bin- absolutely awful. A member of staff came to remove it and they gave us a free drink voucher for it. Then a storm started and our room was leaking so badly, the balcony door was pouring in water so we had to move again. We were then downgraded to a much smaller room with a damp smell. They refunded the extortionate parking for the inconvenience. Overall I wouldn’t recommend or stay again.
