Liked: Stayed many times before. Good but not exceptional breakfast. Not eaten dinner recently.
Disliked: Nothing in particular.

Good for convenience but fascilities...

Liked: Liked the location and the staff were very attentive
Disliked: Thought room had view, had no view at all. Felt awkward walking through wedding party to get to reception.

No Signs of Improvement for...

Liked: Location is the only star here, a view not to be beaten.
Disliked: Rooms are looking very tired - spend some money guys, especially in the older part . Been staying here for @25 years now and the only reason we come back is lack of other venues......eye off the ball and things are looking a bit shabby.Breakfast also very poor for the price we paid........we may have to go Premier Inn route next time....its just not worth it.

Wish all hotels were like...

Liked: Location was very good for what we wanted to do. Room had a terrace which we really enjoyed . My husband has Alzheimers so prefers to be in a quiet location. The view from the room was amazing. Really big comfy bed. Lovely bathroom accessories. Excellent breakfast. Very impressed that most things were Welsh including the slate food markers. Staff went above and beyond for us. I am a gardener and attention to detail in grounds is good to see.
Disliked: Stay not long enough but will be back!

Exquisite hotel, huge potential, will...

Liked: Fantastic rural location, with awesome views towards Cardiff Bay. Our standard double bedroom was so big and modern with again, fantastic views. Huge bathroom, everything was exceptional. Staff really polite.
Disliked: The dining room was soulless in the evening. All the infrastructure is there, the room is actually very lovely, but no ambient music, no candles, so quiet. Staff were delightful but absolutely no atmosphere, would not eat there if we stayed again, which is a shame as it could be magnificent. No cocktail menu seen for outside and the views are magnificent and could be such a cool place to hang out. Could market this beautiful hotel so much more. Staff at breakfast very polite, but need more training.
