Liked: We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage with kitchen and sitting room. The cottages are built in around a central lawn with beautiful flowering shrubs and trees. There are plastic chairs outside each cottage so very nice to sit outside. Netley Hall is a wedding venue and I imagine the cottages are there for guests. Whilst we were there, there was only one other cottage in use. It was lovely and quiet. We liked the location, being aware that you are in the countryside so will need your car. There re some walks sign posted from the cottage which we didn't get to but going by the high standard of the grounds I'm sure they would be lovely.There's plenty of easy parking. The towels were nice quality.The price was very good so overall excellent value which means you could overlook the negatives listed below. Communication with Joe was excellent from booking to when we let ourselves in with the key from the lockbox
Disliked: The cottage was lovely, the finishes let it down a bit. The mirror in my bathroom was missing and the shower heads in both bathrooms would not stay in position. The mattress was rather tired - you could feel every spring. There were no pillow protectors on the pillows which is a big no from me as I am concerned about the previous person's sweaty head on the pillow and washing the pillow case is not enough. The bed linen was entry level quality but clean.Do be aware that there are no windows in the bedrooms so nice and dark if you like a dark room for sleeping. There is a sky light in the en suite bathroom so leaving the door ajar lets light into the bedroom in the morning. It would have been nice to leave a couple of teabags. These negatives didn't spoil our stay and I am confident that the owners will address some of these issues as Netley Hall seemed to be well cared for and they are easy fixes.

Liked: Room was good and spacious
Disliked: The setup was completely weird. The main entrance to the hotel grounds was locked. There was no reply to the intercom or when I phoned the telephone number. I remember there was a back entrance via a farm. I eventually found my room, but it took about 30 minutes. I never spoke to anyone or saw anyone during the visit

Liked: Spacious and comfortable cottage. Convenient free parking and good walks in the vicinity for the dogs.
Disliked: Only real issue for us at the time was the WiFi or lack of it - it didn’t seem to extend to the cottage we were staying in.

Disliked: Uncomfortable beds, mattresses well beyond sell by date!Kitchen needs updating mismatched crockery, no teapot, insufficient mugs/ wine glasses for four guests.Dishwasher unnecessary as not enough chinaToilet not flushing properly ,mirror light had no lamp.Bedrooms had no window therefore no ventilation.Stained cushions in lounge area, tv too small for room.No hair dryer Had to chase hotel for access information as nothing received until late evening prior to arrival.

Liked: Nice restaurant 2 miles away in Donnington village ( the Horseshoe)
Disliked: In the middle of nowhere.. not in Shrewsbury at all, no staff except the spiders. Needs updated furniture, lots of maintenance, and a good cleaning. No tea towels, dishcloths, dishwasher out of order. Was probably nice 30 years ago….
