Good stay, but there was...

Liked: Staff are wonderful. Location is great!
Disliked: The street construction together with the hotel construction was a disappointment. I was not informed beforehand that I would be walking through construction sites. I was not able to get room service. And I ran out of bathroom supplies.

Clean, comfortable and close to...

Liked: The Nelligan is centrally located in Old Montreal, within easy walking distance of good restaurants, cafes, art galleries and gift shops, and a block from the river. Our king bed and bath were very clean, bed was comfortable. The adjoining restaurant offered a very nice breakfast. The bar was lacking in a selection of Canadian whiskey, which was surprising.

Disappointing . Lack of communication.

Disliked: I am sure property is very pleasant but we were never informed that hotel is undergoing a massive renovation and streets outside are completely dug down to the pipes. Lots of fences and uneven plywood walks! Awkward. I feel hotel should have been more up front re informing clients of ongoing issues. A long route to even get to our room. Can barely get to entrance door from the street and no place to meet a taxi or wait with luggage.

Liked: Been to the Nelligan many times. It’s under major renovation at the moment as is the street outside. Still we love it and are returning very soon.
Disliked: Construction.
