Great pool experience!
Liked: We book a couple of nights before a cruise. It felt like we had a vacay before our vacay! The bed was comfortable, the service was friendly, the location was great and the pools were wonderful.

A Slice of Paradise with...
Liked: The National Hotel in Miami is undeniably a stunning property. From the moment you step into the art deco lobby, you're transported to a glamorous era of sophisticated style. The breathtaking architecture, inviting pools, and overall ambiance exude tranquility and luxury. The staff, without exception, were fantastic, providing genuinely warm and helpful service that prioritized our comfort. Every interaction, from the front desk to the pool attendants, showcased impeccable service, which was a highlight of our stay. The National Hotel has so much to offer, with its beauty and exceptional staff truly commendable. However, the handling of the BDM music festival and its impact on hotel guests needs serious reconsideration. Better pre-arrival communication about such large-scale events, a more thoughtful approach to amenity access during these times, and a willingness to accommodate guests financially when their experience is affected are crucial. While I would still recommend The National for its inherent charm and wonderful team, I strongly advise future guests to inquire about any large events coinciding with their stay and to ensure clear communication regarding potential disruptions and guest accommodations. With a few adjustments, The National Hotel could truly be an unblemished paradise.
Disliked: However, our experience was somewhat overshadowed by the unexpected presence of the BDM music festival. While we appreciate Miami's vibrant event scene, the communication regarding this festival and its implications for hotel guests was severely lacking. We were not informed prior to our arrival that the main pool would be closed for a significant portion of our stay due to festival setup. This was a major disappointment, as the pool was a key reason for choosing The National.Additionally, the festival music permeated the hotel grounds for what felt like a relentless ten hours each day. While some might enjoy the beats, those seeking relaxation and quiet enjoyment of the hotel's amenities found it disruptive, making it difficult to unwind fully. What compounded our frustration was the lack of accommodations for hotel guests during this period. The room rates remained at their standard level, despite a significant portion of the hotel's key amenities being impacted by the festival. It felt unfair to pay a premium price when the pool was largely inaccessible and the atmosphere was dominated by festival music. Even simple comforts like beach umbrellas, which became our primary outdoor refuge during the pool closure, incurred additional costs. Given the circumstances, a gesture of goodwill, such as a discount on room rates or complimentary beach amenities, would have been greatly appreciated and could have significantly improved our overall experience.
