National 9 Inn - Placerville

Ok for 1 Night for...

Liked: The front desk gal was friendly upon check in. I got a ground floor room as requested. Location is right up the street from Placerville dining and shopping. Bed was firm and comfortable. Small room. TV had some good channels to watch.
Disliked: After 5pm, the small parking lot fills up so you must park in the overflow lot which has no lights in the lot. Their lot needs one more disabled spot! The place awakens at 6am with many people leaving weekly for work from here. A gardener started blowing with his machine at 7am right outside my front door! You must be an early riser to stay here during the week.

Disliked: The facilities are starting to show their age (ie stairs, railings etc)

Disliked: The bed was very high that my husband had to help me get on. The bed was very hard. The bed had a slight tilt and it felt as if I could fall off. Very loud air conditioner. No relaxing chair to sit in. The room attached to our room was occupied and you could see the light around the frame of the door. The ceiling in the bathroom room had been repaired and it was unpainted. The bathroom room mirror was at a height of a six foot man, I am 5’3. The bathroom sink had several large cracks. It is uncertain as to when the carpets were cleaned last. Drapery on lone window did not match.

Liked: The staff is always very friendly when you arrive. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. It is close to downtown Placerville as well as the many farms in the area.
