Great hotel! Highly recommend depending...

Liked: Nice modern hotel with everything you need. For the price point, it's great value for money and the breakfast offering was simple but delicious and good value. The bed was also very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and kindly reserved a 1st floor room because of my mum's mobility issues. It's also very easy to travel around Paris from here via bus and metro, and very close to Gare du Nord. I had a great long weekend!I'm aware of people saying it's a bad area etc., it's completely fair and at night many people would feel intimidated by the activity around the metro station. I think it also depends on your mindset when you arrive. If you were looking for the romantic stereotype of Paris, it's not for you. If you've lived in a major city before, and have a more realistic and functional view of travel accommodation, it's a great option.
Disliked: I slept well, but it is noisy from the outside and neighbouring rooms. Longer term it might be worth looking at soundproofing.

Liked: Friendly staff. Clean rooms.
Disliked: The 5th floor is a long way up and there isn't a lift! Ask for a room on the lower levels if you do not want to climb so many stairs.

Liked: Easily accessible by train or metro. If you’re coming from Gare du Nord, it’s perfect! Montmartre is also just a 10min walk away! The staff is friendly, room was big and clean. (Shout out to the receptionist lady with blonde hair and a piercing! You were wonderful!) I saw all kinds of reviews prior to staying over, but I wouldn’t say they are being fair since most people mention things that are outside of hotel’s control. Most importantly, I didn’t take any r@cist reviews to heart. Yes, the hotel is in a very lively neighbourhood filled with different cultures. However, we have never felt unsafe during our stay and no one had been weird towards us. You do come across some interesting people late at night, but this is common in every big capital and they didn’t bother us. Yes, there is no elevator, but that’s fine. The stairs were charming and we joked about it during our stay. Breakfast options were small, but very filling! Everything was clean and neat. So truly nothing to complain about.

Disappointing. Not worth the money...

Liked: The rooms were nice and it was close to a metro meaning it was easier to get to tourist spots.
Disliked: The location. The area did not feel safe at all. As soon as you got off the metro there were lots of men hanging around. They would shout at us and follow us sometimes which made us extremely uncomfortable and for this reason alone I would not stay here again as I did not feel safe. We paid to upgrade our room to a ‘silver view’ and although the room was okay we do not feel this was an upgrade or a reflection of what we were sold. The description of a silver view room was not the room we had. The shower was in the room and the toilet was basically in a cupboard. We were also not on the top floor which is what the description said. When we questioned this at reception the lady was quite rude and unhelpful and just told us that all the rooms were decorated differently even though we explained it was not the decoration we were unhappy with. Highly disappointed that we paid for an upgrade that we do not feel we received.

Good breakfast modern renovation air...

Liked: Very good breakfast and location, room modern clean with air conditioner in Paris hot days. Staff friendly , many supermarket around like AlDi 200 meters away
Disliked: They don’t have elevator, we lift the heavy luggage to level five, and no kettle inside room.

Convenient hotel with efficient friendly...

Liked: Good value for it's central location & being converted from an old Parisian housing block. Easy to walk to from Gare du Nord. Staff were friendly & spoke English. Breakfast was generous
Disliked: Very small shower but adequate for the room size
