Great staff and rooms were...

Liked: The beds are very comfortable and the rooms as quiet. Staff are super nice and accommodating.
Disliked: Better map location of the area as well as food accessible from the hotel would have been nice.

Brief overnight stay - ok...

Liked: The remodel and new vibe looks like it will be great. Location is perfect for visiting the UConn area. Decor is tasteful
Disliked: Construction dust in the room (like the door stops, etc) wasn?t wiped up. New paint/wallpaper/carpet smells are a bit intense - could use to air out the space. Not sure what the Welcome Back Kotter (images on the lampshades) connection is and all the mixed plaids (carpet, blanket, sofa) could feel a bit too rustic or dated in a few years. Finally - no amenities when we visited (over Christmas) and sadly no coffee maker in the room ...

Liked: The bed was comfortable
Disliked: I am a hotel guest and they charged me 8.50 without telling for overnight parking... what hotel charges an additional fee for overnight parking when you are staying overnight. I will never go there again.

Disappointing

Liked: Lovely front desk staff. Attractively decorated room. Confortable bed.
Disliked: For the price of a luxury hotel, you get a basic, slightly rundown hotel. Advertised with a pool, but it?s under renovation. No room service at all. Average restaurants with short opening hours. Too bad if you arrive late in the evening after a long flight. Front desk very helpfully suggested ordering Domino?s pizza, but too exhausted to deal with it. This hotel has great potential but falls short of the mark.

Great atmosphere for being on...

Liked: Got to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms...ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! Best bed we ever slept on...new AC/Heating unit with wall mounted stat kept the room spot on perfect! Huge room with great accent furniture and decor...can?t wait to go back!
