Great location for one night,...
Liked: Location was excellent. Right next to downtown Princeton and a very short walk to the Princeton campus. Staff at the front desk were also friendly. The room was reasonably spacious.
Disliked: The room itself wasn’t great. We stayed in a room with two queen beds. It was more like two full sized beds, so a bit of a squeeze. Room was dark with a tiny window that looks across to another room a short distance away, so had to keep the curtain drawn. The bathroom was very small, towels were thin.

A Largely Wasted Asset in...
Liked: Great location, comfortable beds.
Disliked: The property is desperately in need of a complete makeover. The rooms lack amenities one finds in much less expensive hotels such as in-room refrigerators and convenient power/USB outlets on both sides of the bed. The ergonomics of the bathrooms are hopelessly outdated. The front lobby of the hotel was at one time Princeton's living room. Now you can't even use that entry after 6:00 pm. Gone is the convenient bar, good continental restaurant and roaring fire (maybe the fire still gets lit in the winter, it was hardly the right day for it on our most recent visit). But much that once was has passed away. Value for money is just not there except for location. What the Nassau Inn really needs is a new owner.

Steeped in tradition, centrally located,...
Liked: The Nassau Inn is steeped in Princeton tradition, so having the iconic Tap Room right there to gather with friends is really what make this place special. That it's centrally located, walkable to everything in town with parking garages very near by is also a huge bonus. The bed was very comfortable
Disliked: The decor is very dated. It reads mid-90s Calico Corners. There was no central switch to turn on the lights in my room. To get a decent amount of light I had to turn on two table lamps, a floor lamp and a desk lamp that were placed around the room. Then before I went to bed I had to do a lap around the room and turn off each light individually. Not a hardship but not ideal. I am wondering when American hotels are going to adopt the same practice used in many European hotels. When you enter your room you jam your key into a holder that allows you to turn the lights on. When you leave the room and take your key, it automatically turns off all the lights. It saves electricity and the operating cost of the hotel. Just a thought.

Very good
Liked: Great location, friendly staff
Disliked: Cheaper room options would be good. Didn't eat at the bar as limited vegan/veggie options.
