Not great at all -...

Exceptional
Liked: Beautiful hotel. Modern, clean & lively. Great breakfast & dinner. Comfortable, spacious room.
Disliked: We had a little trouble w/directions. Being right next to Highway ramp we took the 1st right instead of directing us to the "right" after tge HW exit ramp.

Property was good but front...
Disliked: Overbooked and over charges us. Lied about credit and on top charged me when I already booked the rooms thru Booking.comHow can Marriot charge me when I used Booking.com? Crazy and really disappointed with the lies told about credit due to their error with overbooking

Could have been good
Liked: The hotel was stunningly elegant, the look of the room. It was really well laid out, really top notch, first class. We liked that there was a pool for swimming. The outside of the building is stunning,beautiful, gorgeous. Great views nearby of nature. Great location, not too far from the Mystic Aquarium and other attractions.
Disliked: There was peeling paint on the roof above the pool. The mattresses were a little lumpy, there were a couple of brown stains on the sheets.Those things could use some updating. The most egregious thing that really infuriated me was when we had dinner in the dining room and we informed our server and the dining room manager of my son's food allergies, we specifically said dairy, including cheese and not four minutes later, the waitress nonchalantly brought out a cheeseburger, which was clearly dripping with strips of cheese that were hanging out the sides. So the manager, the waitress and the cook, who was allegedly told of the allergies, all did it wrong. That experience really mared our whole stay and I was completelyturned off of the place after that. How can some staff of a hotel disrespect someone's allergies to food when they're a food service as part of their business, they blatantly do the opposite of what people tell them? This can be a life threatening situation. I am absolutely mortified.

A bit disappointed in the...
Liked: Location, clean, modern
Disliked: Room lighting was weird - nighttime options were either bright light or no light. No nightlight in bathroom. Translucent door meant that only option was to turn on the one light switch in bathroom which illuminated the whole room at night, or go with total darkness. Need to bring own flashlight or something. Added Destination charges for a hotel that isn’t a destination and has no special amenities like a beach or a special pool is a rip off.

Exceptional
Liked: The entire experience was wonderful. Everyone from the front desk staff to housekeeping was cheerful and helpful.The pool was fantastic and relaxing.Everything was clean, and our breakfast each day was awesome.We will definitely return for another getaway. I will absolutely share our great experience with family and friends.

Accommodations don't match luxury vibe...
Liked: Terrific room. Very comfortable bed.
Disliked: No microwave. In room coffee maker was cheap quality. Toilet ran continuously. Body wash/shampoo/conditioner was of lesser quality. Bathroom caulking was poorly done
