Stressful , disappointing, frustrating and...

Liked: Nothing the whole place was grubby.
Disliked: It wasn’t fit for habitation . Their 2 towels which were small and sheets smelled clean . But there was no where to hang your towel once it was used. No foot Matt for shower and curtain was filthy and stained . I have photos of mould on walls , cobwebs and general filth . The carpets were worn with holes and sticky . I was afraid to take my shoes off . The wooden Shelf to place your toiletries on in bathroom was stained and unhygienic. The door had been smashed in and wasn’t safe . The tiny wardrob had one hanger in it. No bedside table on one side which my partner asked staff for but even tho staff said yes. An hour later it was not forthcoming . Here is the best part. The curtains were falling off and had what looked like blood stains on them. We were both coughing within an hour from the smell and mould on pipes around the room and when we left I had flea bites on my ankles and got a migraine from the stress. My partner wrote a previous review and it has been said that we should have spoken to staff which I personally did as I handed in the keys. I asked for a refund as I felt ill as it was so bad and couldn’t possible spend one night sleeping there. He just said sorry I don’t deal with money and you will have to write an email to complain. He also pointed out it was a budget hotel to which I agreed however even a budget hotel needs to have some standards . We also sent an email to ask for this refund for which we paid 5 nights in advance and to date we haven’t even had the decency of a response of acknowledgment with a reply.. we will be taking this further as one doesn’t just hand over £250 to become ill in a room after one hour and have to leave and find alternative accommodation.. we left the hotel after one hour feeling awful and believed our health wasn’t worth the risk of even one night .
