My Place Hotel- Salt Lake City I-215/West Valley City UT

Very disappointing.

Liked: The parking and location was very convenient. The room was a good size and the television cable was great.
Disliked: The girl at the front desk was SOOO slow, stared at the computer, never made eye contact. She asked for ID & Credit Card for the reservation. After I put everything back in my wallet and subsequently in my purse. I had to take my card out again for the deposit, she could have advised me of that a lot earlier. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly & started everything, but a call came in & he was told he needed to take it because the caller only spoke Spanish. The young woman at the desk acted annoyed. The room smelled like stale cigarette smoke, but it was a non-smoking room. We chose this hotel because it had a kitchen, BUT there is NO INFORMATION at the time of booking, that the kitchen is empty. No utensils, no pots or pans, no plates. Just a GREAT full-size fridge, paper towels. sink, dishwashing soap and sink. Other than the fridge, no advantage to having a kitchen. They do not have breakfast ... why??? Because there is a kitchen and you can cook your own .... HOW, given there is nothing to cook or eat with. Internet was VERY slow and cut out constantly.

Liked: The guy who helped us check out. He was the only saving grace of that place. Nice, kind, friendly. And we liked a full size fridge
Disliked: Everything else.
