Liked: Location was fantastic.It was a clean sea view room, comfortable beds,clean bathroom, with lovely creams and potions.Breakfast was good with a nice view..Reception very helpful.
Disliked: We could not ventilate the room, there was no way to open the windows more than an inch. We woke up and the room was boiling, with very thick duvets.Still had a good sleep because of the comfortable bed.Very disappointed that the bar had closed at 9.45pm on a Saturday! We had to run to a supermarket to buy alcohol to bring back to your hotel. Sadly we could not have a cappuccino at breakfast as the machine was broken.

Great spot

Liked: A seafront room gives spectacular views over the bay. The rooms were snug but not too tight and nicely decorated. Fantastic location close to the centre. Staff were responsive.
Disliked: The scaffolders bashing away for 2 hours right outside our bedroom window. No hot water. Ran the tap for a long time for a shave but didn't get warm. Could only have a cold shower at 10am after exercise. Paintwork outside looks patchy which is odd given that this is a recent conversion.

Liked: Precious was so engaging and ready to assist our group with anything we needed. Dinner was wonderful.
Disliked: We hurried back from a long day out on the isles tour to find that the chef decided to close the restaurant early, so our group of 7 had to find another place to walk in the dark for food.

Nice view, but…

Disliked: It was the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in anywhere and when I commented on this to the receptionist she told me that’s because it was a ‘single room’. I didn’t expect acres of space, but given the price I was disappointed as it was more expensive than others in the area and I’d hoped for better. There was very little room to move around and in order to get to the window, I had to shuffle sideways. No room to put a suitcase on the floor without having to step over it. In addition, I’m a 5ft 4in 10 stone woman, and have absolutely no idea how anyone of a larger size would cope with the shower cubicle. I banged my elbows trying to reach up to shampoo my hair, and bending down wasn’t an option. The shower head was of the ‘rainfall’ type and was almost as big as the cubicle, so there was no room to get away from the torrent. The hairdryer is fixed on a short lead inside a drawer, so you have to bend down to use it and got the feeling the whole room/bathroom had been shoved into a large cupboard. But the view of the harbour was nice and I was only there for one night, for which I’m thankful. Be aware - lots of steps up to the front entrance.

Fabulous weekend break with good...

Liked: It was a lovely hotel room was fine though you need 2 chairs for 2 people
Disliked: The shower hose had a screw in it so you couldn’t lower it and it was up too high for me

So enjoyed my stay !!...

Disliked: Please check fire doors in passage way ,5th floor as it BANGS shut !
