Disliked: Cleanliness; poor attitude of staff.

Convenient and comfy

Liked: The beds were really comfy, it was in the perfect location for a wedding we were attending.
Disliked: The room wasn’t particularly clean, there were a few bugs in the bathroom and around the tea/coffee area. The room just felt a bit dingy for a ‘superior’ double room. The fan for the bathroom was clearly broken and made a terribly loud noise when the light was switched on. The breakfast was really disappointing, we arrived in the dining room around 9.15am and there was barely any food left, the pastries were overdone, there was no coffee/tea or juice readily available, we had to wait for this to be brought out. We waited for bacon to come out and when it did eventually come out it was undercooked, smelt funny and was basically inedible.

A fair 3 star but...

Liked: Hotel is a bit dated and needs some renovation but was fine. Staff were lovely, helpful and responsive. Room a decent size. We booked a ‘superior’ one. It’s much more of a 3 star experience than a 4 star one though, as it lacked the luxury element one would expect at a 4 star.
Disliked: Rooms and facilities were a bit run down, some of the room could have been cleaner (mug stains on the side tables in the room that hadn’t been cleaned - although bathroom was good). For a superior room the bed was small and the room only had basic stuff like a kettle and a tv in it.
