Liked: Amazing breakfast and beautifullocation.

Liked: Staff very welcoming and helpful. The situation of the hotel is lovely and we enjoyed the walks. Our evening meal in Cairns restaurant was lovely.
Disliked: Our room was stiflingly hot which made our night a bit uncomfortable.Compared to previous visits, the breakfast was disappointing. With most items being self service the food wasn’t as freshly cooked as previously and it was difficult to get toast that was neither under or over done. But the drinks options were great.

Liked: Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked, which we really appreciate. The view was breathtaking and really aided digestion. The staff were excellent and very warm and friendly, without being over fussy. Bliss.
Disliked: The room felt very claustrophobic and small. Broken upper window didn’t help. Managed to use a toilet roll to hold window open.No natural light, complete gloomy outlook from window..Door entry a bit archaic, key and handle turn movement when carrying bags etc is awkward.

Liked: The staff were generally friendly and helpful. The room was in a quiet area and the top floor which we requested so this is appreciated. Breakfast was good but not not outstanding.
Disliked: Once again, air con is an issue. We understand, this is difficult in an older building but an electric fan does not cut it these days. Also, the hotel is embarking on the first phase of £30 million expansion so air con needs to be made available in the existing rooms.
