Superb

Very good

A lovely hotel with nice...

Liked: This hotel is aesthetically lovely. The room looks good, it was very clean. It’s in a great location in the middle of Paddington. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Disliked: However, we had paid what seemed to be a rather high price for our deluxe double room which had some flaws. The room’s only window looked out onto another wall (people walking in the corridor of the next building would see straight in). There was no ability to see the sky or anything else. The air conditioner/heater took a long time to work and was very noisy (the weather was particularly cold). The bathroom light came on with a very noisy fan. While the room was very nicely styled it was not worth the price paid. The lovely girl on reception explained that the hotel only really has 2 rooms with windows looking out (to Oxford St) which were unfortunately booked already. Once you see the building this makes sense. So for prospective travellers if this is something that matters to you then I recommend you request one of those rooms. If we had I think we would have liked it.

Fabulous staff, room and location!

Liked: We were thrilled with: the room, (very clean and tidy, not huge but big enough); the bed (we like a soft bed and it was wonderful.. not too soft but not a rock like you get in some hotels); they don't have breakfast... but they do!... free coffee machine in a nice foyer, together with free fruit, and pastries in the morning! The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Don't miss the cute cafe down the end of William Street (a lovely street to walk along too) about a 5 min walk.The 333 bus stop is about 100m up the road and is fantastic for getting into the main part of the city (Hyde Park and Museum Train Station-direct train to the Airports), then the bus goes all the way to Circular Quay! (bus comes about every 5 mins!!)If you are going to an event at Allianz Stadium, this hotel is perfect as it's only a 6min walk and you don't get stuck in the traffic!Thanks to the staff at Mrs Banks Hotel, a fabulous stay, and you have probably guessed, we highly recommend it!!
