Scheduled events not offered to...

Liked: Good central location.
Disliked: Non ease of off loading luggage.There was an event on that stated a surprise if you checked in on the 20/4, we were not offered this but assume it had something to do with the spinning wheel on reception. When chatting about it later whilst enjoying a drink at the bar we were again overlooked.Room was very tired looking crumbs on carpet.Staff not very interactive.Mentioned in online checking that our visit was part of our honeymoon this was also overlooked no offer to upgrade which we likely would have.Situated at the rear of the hotel, very noisy with unsightly views of scaffolding.

Short stay with the dog

Liked: - Good sized room for York- Friendly staff- Dog friendly- Great location - Good price - Lobby is a nice space to be in
Disliked: - Some shower essentials would be nice in the room, shower cap ect but not the end of the world.

Liked: Quiet location, clean hotel, friendly staff. Bar area and check in and eating area as soon as ypu walk in. For me too busy as I prepare seperate areas.A little too crowded for everything to be together. Great decor
Disliked: Scaffolding around the outsode of the hotel and only informed after I had booked
