Disliked: The valet ONLY parking. We was on our bike with trailer and was told before coming that was ok upon arrival told we had to use different parking area which we paid $40 for 1 night then was told we could just use the Moxys parking and wouldn’t be charged valet and we were still charged $12 a day for valet and didn’t use it on top of $40 we paid to parking lot next to Moxy. Also the room we were put in the first night had no AC after unpacking all of our stuff we had to pack it back up and move to a different room with no compensation. And finally when I booked the room, the total was right under $1200 after the vacation was over. My card was charged over $1400.. none of which added up to what I was quoted when I booked the room

Disliked: Rooms were small the TV kept going out bathroom sink in the hall of the very Tiny room. No furniture in the room.no place to put your clothes and they force you to do valet parking.The restaurant is closed there and the fresh linens are kept at the end of the hallway.

All in all, the Moxy...

Liked: Fruit bowls were awesome, however we didn't get the same fruit two days in a row. The food in the restaurant was just ok. I loved the ocean front view. We could have sit on our patio and watched the ocean for hours, but we only had one chair out there and there was two of us. We had to speak to a manager on two occasions and we spoke with a lady named Emily. She was just awesome. I have to say she was the nicest employee we encountered. She acted really concerned about our issues and tried to help us in any way possible, even sent a bottle of champagne to our room.
Disliked: Firstly, the music from the DJ where you check in is too loud! I had to ask 3 times what the girl said and still could not hear her. Check in needs to be separate from the bar! The lights worked sometimes & sometimes they didn't -- ex: One light we had on & could not get off when we were going to bed. It plugged into the ceiling, so no unplugging it. I got up around 4 am & touched the switch (exactly as before) & it went off...? No refrigerators. We really needed a fridge to keep our dog's food in. Big concern, Our service dog had a major stroke @ 1 am one night. my husband called the desk & we were told the nearest ER Vet was in Roanoke, a good 30-40 minutes away. We honestly thought she was dying. I was giving her CPR... crying... very upset. He googled ER Vets near us & found one within 10 minutes of the hotel. How DISAPPOINTING that the desk didn't care enough to take the time to do that for us. We go down to get our vehicle from Valet, just to be told my husband had to go back to the room to get the valet tag.... more time.... he ran to the room, got the valet tag, gave it to the kid, and the kid hands us our keys and said "Here's your keys-- your truck is 'SOMEWHERE' over across the street in that lot"-- Uh, we are paying $11/day for valet... it's pouring rain... we are told our vehicle is "SOMEWHERE" across the street.... you go find it with your "sick dog" in the pouring rain! I was furious at this point! We found out later from Emily, he wasn't allowed to drive any of the vehicles -- so, why was he working valet????? We went on, didn't say anything, but it was just added stress on top of our already stressful situation. When we came back to the hotel, after having to have our beloved pet euthanized, we parked our vehicle back in the Valet lot..
