We have enjoyed out stay...

Liked: All the important sites were a 10 to 15 minute walk away. For us it was perfect. Also 10 mins from Haymarket station and buses which was great for the airport too.
Disliked: Very clean hotel. Nice ambience. The breakfast was great. Once criticism about the room. There was no where to put your clothes, so had to leave things in the suitcase. Was fine for us as we only had little luggage.

Comfortable room and great breakfast

Liked: The room was very comfortable and clean and I really enjoyed the breakfast. The location worked out well for me because it was a short walk to the Haymarket train station, and a relatively short and pleasant walk to the castle and other attractions. We also found a very good Mediterranean/pizza restaurant near the hotel.
Disliked: I was disappointed to have only a slightly dismal interior courtyard view from my bedroom. I didn't spend much time in the room, but that made me feel a little claustrophobic. I usually enjoy being able to look out upon a street or something.
