Liked: The vibe of this hotel is completely different than any I have been to. The common area is very cozy and welcoming. You get a free drink (vodka or tequila with a juice blend they make on site). Coffee/tea is in the lobby as well to encourage interaction with staff and other guests.
Disliked: The room while artsy wasn’t very comfortable. My view was of a building being demoed or redone, so it was trashed on the street.

Disliked: We were meant to be staying for 3 nights, but we checked in and then checked out 30 minutes later. The room was very basic and didn't look like the pictures, the air conditioning in our room was broken and so the room was very hot and all facilities such as tea, coffee, microwave were in the common space which was boisterous and loud. The hotel isn't in a great area, and we were warned to keep our wallets in our front pockets! It didnt feel very safe. We left, and checked into an alternative accommodation. The staff were very friendly, but the accommodation definitely wasn't for us. It might be good for a younger crowd (ie. Hostel goers etc)

Friendly staff- rooms work for...

Liked: - within walking distance of downtown/Bourbon St. - staff was friendly and attentive - beds were comfortable - each quest got a complimentary drink from the bar- lobby has a cool vibe
Disliked: - could have been cleaner- first room we got had maintenance going on so we had to move to a new room on a different floor- many floors smelled musty- i booked two rooms months in advance and they didn’t even put us on the same floor which wasn’t ideal- they say the rooms are set up to encourage guests to not stay in their rooms.. it felt more like an excuse to only provide the bare minimum. Like a mini fridge would have been nice. I know when I’m away from home or staying in a hotel, I want to try new experiences (which is why I chose this hotel rather than my usual hotels) that still make me feel comfortable and give me somewhere to relax after a full day of sight seeing. NOLA can be very overwhelming so I do wish they gave more than a few folding chairs and a beverage cart in the rooms/in general to help
