Superb

Comfortable but not up to...

Liked: Comfortable, staff were friendly, the hotel had a free chocolate hour for guests (unfortunately we couldn't make it).
Disliked: The lamp shades in our room were oddly stained, the cupboard door to the bar bridge was broken, and our room backed on to where the rubbish was collected so it was a bit noisy in the mornings - these little things meant it didn't really feel like a 5 star hotel.

Liked: Always lovely to stay and be welcomed back. I have stayed before and loved it.
Disliked: I didn't like the room- it wasn't like the ones on the upper floors- this time I as situated down on the bottom floor and the rooms were not the same. Plus, I like sitting by the bar...sometimes catching up on work- this time they had reserved it for a small party- but didn't tell anyone- those who were seated there- including me- weren't asked to leave but felt awkward when the "guests" turned up and we were still sitting there. They had cordoned off the area - I left feeling a bit put out- climbing over the cordoned off area. The communication should have been better.

Great service and tidy.

Liked: Tidy, nicely designed rooms. Clean bathroom and good bed.
Disliked: A bit far from the main action of Wellington and up a steep hill if walking.

Exceptional

Pleasant

Liked: Service reception, dining area, bar service, breakfast, dining room view. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: Small room for a king bed suite, gym equipment basic, swimming pool cool. We were on same level as kids club for a mature couple not a good option.

Liked: Staff were lovely and the room was clean. Lobby entrance and restaurant area had a nice luxe feel.
Disliked: The pool online said it was heated but it was quite cold that we went down for a swim and didn’t get in. The pool was also very dirty, we could see lumps of hair floating near the bottom of the pool. Our room waa clean and pleasant but the pillows were quite uncomfortable. Our room you could hear the loud noise of either the elevator or people’s showers running, was quite loud noise travel through the walls. The staff were lovely and very efficient when they made a mistake with my room but due to the things above I probably wouldn’t stay again.
