Amazing hotel and staff ~...

Liked: The Mövenpick staff were awesome from the time we arrived until we left. Very helpful and friendly. When told it was our anniversary, they upgraded us to a room with a view on the 16th floor and there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Perfect location to everything and the room was beautiful ~ Nespresso coffee machine, mini fridge, comfy king size bed and amazing bathroom with all the necessary accessories. The cleaning crew were absolutely lovely too. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and would rebook here should we be fortunate enough to be able to visit Hobart again. Stunning city!We had complimentary breakfast included in our booking. The food was awesome and the portion sizes of the cooked meals were enough to keep us going until dinner. There was also a choice of cereal, fruits, pastries and self serve coffee but we went for the ground coffee which was lovely and strong. A perfect way to start the day!
Disliked: We had breakfast every morning and a few drinks during the complementary chocolate and happy hours in the afternoon. On many occasions we sat among dirty tables. Not due to the staff being too busy ~ I’ve worked in hospitality and know the most important thing besides great customer service, is a clean environment for customers to walk in to and enjoy. The breakfast staff were more on the ball in this regard, but the afternoon staff did not seem to be bothered. A little disappointing especially when there’s clearly time for it to be done.

Liked: The facilities were fantastic, everything was very comfortable. Views from the room were great. Staff were very accommodating. Chocolate happy hour for guests was a really lovely touch. It was a great way to unwind in the afternoon.
Disliked: I was in a room on the 11th floor. Inside the room you could hear a constant high pitched whistling noise - I think it was wind from the fire escape rushing under the doors.. Otherwise the room was comfortable

Disliked: Water pressure ok but not great and shower very noisey in our room 417 whenever hot water was used
