Mount Royal Hotel

I had a nice stay.

Liked: Nice location. The hotel staff gifted me a bottle of wine and a card to celebrate my birthday.
Disliked: No swimming pool.

If you want to be...

Liked: Staff went above and beyond to put a champagne split and anniversary card in our room at check-in. That was a nice touch. Hotel is historic so the building and rooms are older but has a great location close to everything in Banff. The room was comfortable and clean. Their on-site restaurant, Brazen, was great for a full breakfast.
Disliked: Just a minor informational thing--There was a little bit of a mix-up in dealing with the front desk as to where to catch the bus to the Gondola, then later where to wait for a taxi they had called. Also prices were high when we stayed there but it was at the end of summer season when everything in Banff is pricey.

Great over all!!

Liked: The staff was wonderful and kind and upgraded us for our girls mini vacation.
Disliked: No continental breakfast for the price.

After spending AU$1700 for 2...

Liked: Location
Disliked: Out of 4 reception staff I came across, only one was decent. The others were appalling and obviously do not like working there. I felt like I was an annoyance by just standing at the desk wanting to check in.

Disliked: Room was tiny for 3 adults, not enough space to move around to store luggage in room and use of study table.
