Liked: This hotel is a "hidden jewel". Very clean rooms. No smoke odor. Toilet and tub very clean. Plenty of hot water. Cold refer. Big TV. Located in downtown Kinston near newer renovated restaurants within walking distance.

Trip away from the ordinary

Liked: Quirky cool vibe. Great pool area to enjoy sitting around. Thoughtfully done renovation with quality in their updates.
Disliked: Location of our room was next to a stairwell. People were loud and talkative after 11p.

Wonderful surprise in an unprepossessing...

Liked: Loved the funky-fifties decor, the courteous staff, the sparkling pool with fountains, the more-than-adequate breakfast, the cleanliness, the comfortable bed, and more. I admit I didn?t expect much from this aging motel edifice from an old lady?s youth, tacky writ large. It was memorable, though, for all the best reasons. I will be back next time I?m in Kinston.
Disliked: Oh, if wishes were horses, beggars would ride. A more comfortable chair for reading in our room? A TV-free place to enjoy my coffee? Minor stuff.
