Liked: Motel 6 was the perfect base for our 4 night stay in Whangarei. We especially appreciated the upgrade to the apartment which was spacious and had a good kitchen. The staff were incredibly friendly and responsive, for example replacing blown lightbulbs as soon as we mentioned it. The apartment was lovely and clean, with a retro vibe. The location was excellent, with a great supermarket almost next door and we walked to town several times. Thanks for a memorable stay and we would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: The shower was okay but water pressure not the best. Otherwise everything was pretty good

Great location, clean room and...

Liked: It was in a great location, close to two big supermarkets and in the centre of Whangarei. We wanted to visit the Kiwi House and the waterfall and both were really close by. The property was easy to find with private parking. The staff were really friendly and helpful, they kept the general noise down which was lovely. The facilities were great for a nights stay, we were able to have dinner in the room using the kettle and microwave which was a plus. It was winter when we visited so the added heater and the hot shower were amazing!
